Luxury in Lublin

After leaving Warsaw at 12:00 on Wednesday 19th February after our second (!) photoshoot, we drove onwards to Lublin (1h45). I had debated stopping at Kazimierz Doln which would have added an hour onto the journey and sounds like the scenic route but opted for going straight there via a stop at the McDonalds at Garwolin (£16)!
Following instructions from our hotel, they booked us parking at a hotel called Dom Na Podwalu which I missed the first time and had to loop around and go back. Basically, it is around the back of the hotel (just below the castle) and seems to be accessed across a park. There is a road and signs but nevertheless I was doubting myself that this was for cars. Once we found it, it was great (and gated so very safe) and cost 30zl per day (£6). They apparently have a second parking option which is closer and cost 50zl per day but this was fully booked. I would definitely recommend getting as close as you can as the Old Town Lublin is on a hill and it was a little tricky taking our big silver case all the way up to the Airbnb across cobblestones and up stairs!
We had booked one night at a 'deluxe apartment called Apartamenty Kamienica Muzyków Old Town Lublin at 16 Rynek for 288.86zl (£58) and this ended up being the best place we stayed on our whole trip! We had an enormous apartment and I really could have happily stayed there for so much longer.
As we had arrived for almost 17:00, it was getting dark in the Old Town and quite cold but we did a quick shop in a Zabka supermarket and had a quick wander around. The Old Town is very picturesque indeed with lovely cobblestones.
Dinner was in the number one Tripadvisor restaurant called Zielony Talerzyk Restaurant. This was totally amazing, only cost £36, and had a kids play area complete with a ball pit - win! Tiger had some fun chatting to other kids whilst we were there too.
It was a shame in some ways that we didn't spend any longer than one night in Lublin as we were off the next day to get ourselves to Krakow! We'll be back...
