On Thursday 23 May, Nobu my driver took Tiger and I to see all the local Leh sights so we went to Hemis Monstery, 45km from Leh and founded in 1630.
We toured around Stakna Monastery 21km from Leh, and also founded in the 16th century.
Thiksey Monastery, 19km from Leh, founded in the early 15th century was definitely a highlight although Tiger had a big poo whilst we were looking at the spectacular Buddha!
And finally a windy ascent to Shey Palace, 15km from Leh and built in 1655.
